YooSocial Installation

1. Go to Extensions > Install and install the plugin file

2. Enable the plugin. Go to Extensions > Plugins and publish yoosocial plugin

YooSocial Configuration

Parameters explanation

  • Show on home page/featured items: Whether or not the icons panelshould be displayed on home page (Joomla 1.5) / featured items (Joomla 1.6+)
  • Show on top: Whether or not the icons panel should be displayed after article title
  • Show on bottom: Whether or not the icons panel should be displayed after article content
  • Title: Whether or not an intro text should be displayed before social network bookmarks
  • Title: The intro text for bookmarks
  • Google +1: Whether or not to show the Google +1 button
  • Facebook Like: Whether or not to show the Facebook Like button
  • LinkedIn: Whether or not to show the LinkedIn button
  • Show Text: Whether or not the social network name should be displayed for items of this section
  • GoogleBuzz, Twitter, Facebook, Delicius, Digg this, Reddit, StumbleUpon, Technorati: Whether or not to show/hide the concerned button
  • Size: the google +1 button size
  • Categories: a comma separated list of category ids TO FILTER.

YooSocial Plugin Syntax

Simply use {yoosocial} in your article text. Social bookmarks will then be displayed using parameters you defined.

How YooSocial prevents social bookmarks from being displayed?

Let's assume you have 5 article categories, whose ids are 1,2,3,4 and 5. In order to display social bookmarks for articles of categories 1, 2 and 3, you should fill in the Categories configuration field with value 4,5.

How can I get the same look as in your demo site?

  1. Show Google +1, Facebook Like, LinkedIn buttons, hide others.
  2. Set Google +1 button size to Tall

YooCategories Module Installation

In the back end, go to Extensions > Extension Manager Select the mod_yoocategories versioned zip file and click Upload and Install. You should see an OK message indicating that YooCategories Module has been correctly installed.

YooCategories Module Configuration

Step 1: Set Module options

In Extensions > Module Manager, select the YooCategories Module

Set a title, a position for the module. Publish it, set ordering and publication dates as you wish.

Step 2: Assign YooCategories Module to your menus

This part is classical and common for all Joomla modules. You can display YooCategories module either on all pages, or pages of your choice.

YooCategories Module Parameters

 

  • Css class module suffix: For advanced users only.

    You can define your own css class and apply a different style to the module. Go to %your_website_root%/media/mod_yoocategories/styles and edit add a css file. Naming convention is mod_yoocategories%suffix_of_your_choice%.css.Then, to take your modification into account, set the Css class module suffix accordingly in the basic options.
  • Intro text: Introduction text. Can be HTML formatted
  • Outro text: Outroduction text. Can be HTML formatted
  • Select Category: The parent category to start displaying from
  • Dropdoxn list: If set, a dropdown list is used. Links are displayed otherwise
  • Empty Categories: Whether or not empty categories should be displayed
  • Number of recipes: Whether or not the number of active recipes inside each category should be displayed
  • Max level: The maximum depth of displayed categories. Max is 10.

YooQRCode Plugin Installation

1. Go to Extensions > Install and install the plugin file

 

2. Enable the plugin. Go to Extensions > Plugins and publish YooQRCode plugin

3. Set YooQRCode plugin parameters

  • Show on top: Whether or not QRCode should be displayed after article title
  • Show on bottom: Whether or not QRCode should be displayed after article content
  • Image size: QRCode size in pixels
  • Output encoding: Data Encoding format. UTF-8 is universal
  • Error Correction Level: Allows data recovery when data are misread. Note: the more the Error Correction Level is elevated, the less data can be encoded.
  • Margin: The white margin around QR code. Margin is expressed in rows, not in pixels.

YooQRCode Module Installation

1. Go to Extensions > Install and install the module file

2. Go to Extensions > Module Manager and select the newly created YooQRCode Module

3. Publish it, assign a template position for it, assign module to pages for display, set parameters and Save
